The particularly desirable stuff
1. 6.0 LQ4This is one of the reasons I’d be interested in this particular Yukon. The LQ4 is a 6.0-liter iron-block LS-family V8, rather than the more common 5.3. It’s a very robust engine and doesn’t have the later AFM/DOD system that became a concern on many newer GM V8s.
2. 3.73 gearing + heavy-duty coolingThe combination of GT4 + KNP + K04 + Z82 makes this substantially more tow-oriented than an ordinary Yukon XL. The 3.73 axle and transmission cooler are particularly useful when towing.
3. G69 + Z55This is a big deal. It has automatic load-leveling/air-assisted rear suspension and Autoride, so the vehicle was designed to maintain ride height under load while retaining a relatively sophisticated ride.
